Hello to All of our BES Families!
I am writing with a few friendly reminders for the first day of school, which is tomorrow, 8/31. We are excited to welcome all of our students back!
BUS SCHEDULES are posted at bes.sau80.org under Parents, Bus Schedules. Please remember to allow for some discrepancy over the first two weeks as the drivers determine who will actually be taking the bus.
For CAR RIDERS, drivers should enter the BES lot and take the first right as you arrive, driving through the gate and past the basketball court and playground around the building to the back side of the gym. The first car in line should pull all the way up to Cone #1, with other cars pulling up behind them so we can allow five or six cars to unload at once. Students must remain in cars until the bell rings at 8:35am and a teacher arrives outside to supervise.
WALKERS will be met at the end of Pleasant Valley Drive at 8:40am by a crossing guard and should wait safely away from the road with an adult if they arrive early.
Please make sure you update PICKUP PATROL, so we know how your student will be getting home on the first day of school and every day thereafter. Once you create your default plan, you can make changes when necessary. For a permanent change, please update your default plan. If the change is only for one day, you can simply create a plan change for that day. If you have questions about PickUp Patrol, please call the office at 603-267-6568. It is very important that we know how each student is being dismissed each day.
The Business Office recently mailed FREE/REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATIONS home. If you believe you may qualify, please complete the application. SNAP participants do qualify, but you still must complete the application. Our school also receives additional benefits from many programs if we have enough students who qualify for free/reduced lunch, so thank you for taking the time to submit your application. If you have questions, please call the main office at BES at 603-267-6568, or the Business Office at the SAU at 603-267-9220.
The first PTO MEETING will be held on Wednesday, 9/9 at 6pm in the BES Library. Please come learn more about the PTO and opportunities to get involved. We have a fun and dedicated group of 10-12 members to lead the team, but they need support to help with individual activities and events, baking for events, etc. Any support you are willing and able to provide is appreciated very much!
